1. Avoid using a foundation lighter or darker than your skin tone!

We get it, you want to achieve that attractive tan and don’t want to look too pale or too dark. Or simply don’t know how to choose the perfect foundation for themselves. And believe us – EVERYONE around you will see it! It won’t look nice and professional.

But how to choose a perfect foundation?

First, decide on the texture. A thicker foundation will suit you if your skin is rough or oily. If your skin is thin, dry, very light, small wreaths and blood vessels are visible, a light foundation will suit you. If your skin is combination, medium (not very thin, rough, oily, or dry), a medium-density foundation is your choice. It is crucial that the tone does not look like a mask on the face, is not noticeable, and evens out the color nicely.

Second, you need to find the perfect shade! How to do it? Very easy! Apply some of the intended shade to your neck, but do not smear. Look how the color matches your neck color! Then blend it out a little, but not all the way, and look again if the tone matches your neck. BINGO!

2. Avoid using concealer as a base for eye shadow!

Yes, for many, this is a common practice. However, concealer is a creamy texture designed to disguise dark circles under the eyes and not be used as a base. Plus, it looks heavier on your eyelids and is more likely to crease during the day! In her ten years of professional makeup experience, Karyna tested a huge number of different textures, such as eyeshadow primers. And she confidently says that concealer is far from the best option to achieve long-lasting makeup! That is why the KARYSHA Cosmetics team created their unique gel primer, which holds makeup until you wash it off! Without weights and shedding. The whole secret is to apply it a little bit! A thin, even layer, almost translucent. It is suitable for applying shadows, pigments, and glitters!

3. Avoid drawing graphic eyebrows!

Graphic eyebrows went out of fashion back in 2018. Period. Graphic eyebrows will ALWAYS make you look more mature and slightly more aggressive.

Nowadays, soft, fluffy, and natural eyebrows are a trend.
Use a thin pencil or marker to create a hair-like effect to fill in missing hairs, then comb your brows up and slightly to the side to create a fluffier, model-like effect. Make sure the ends of your eyebrows do not look down, as this will make you look sad and downcast. If necessary, correct your eyebrows. Don’t be afraid to remove only the most unnecessary hairs.

Remember, your eyebrows are your character. They should emphasize your look, creating harmony in your makeup.

4. Avoid overusing your pigment base and applying these with a fluffy brush.

Sometimes, clients complain that their makeup using pigments and glitters does not stick to their eyes, crumbles, or rolls down on their eyelids. It happens for only one reason – incorrect application!

If you apply too much pigment base, everything will roll off in a few minutes, and you will never be able to fix it! You’ll have to wash everything off and start again!

Therefore, remember that you only need a tiny amount of gel primer for long-lasting makeup.

Plus, NEVER use a fluffy brush to apply your pigments! Apply pigments and glitters ONLY with a flat brush in thin layers with trampling movements. Layer by layer for flawless and long-lasting makeup!
